Welcome to Participatory Learning's E-folio System

  • Learner-centered personal learning environment
  • Develop and manage your own portfolio
  • Produce a rich, multimedia record of skills, learning, and development over time

  • Get rich feedback from commenting system (you decide who can see and comment)
  • Network with others; learn from them; help them learn from you

.

Let's face it. It's 2010 and the old way of showing your work--a resumé and manila envelope full of documents--no longer provides an accurate representation of what you know or what you can do. We now spend more time learning online and learning from others than we ever have before. You need a way to show the world your videos, great links, electronic documents, slideshows, wiki contributions, blog posts, music, etc. in a way consistent with the way you use today's social media.

In keeping with the goals of the International Coalition for Electronic Portfolio Research, e-folios seek to:

  1. “transform accountability driven by testing, into richer conversations around inquiry into learning”1; and
  2. “open a detached, hierarchical academy to engagement across the multiple knowledge spaces of the digital world.”2
